System administrators, software vendors, security analysts, developers, and other members of the information security community are invited to participate in the OVAL effort by joining our three email discussion lists:

OVAL Repository Forum - A lightly moderated public forum for discussing new and previously posted OVAL Repository content, as well as the vulnerabilities and configuration issues themselves that affect definition writing.

OVAL Developer’s Forum - A lightly moderated public forum for discussing the OVAL Language as well as specific topics for developers such as addressing OVAL implementation issues and for assisting other developers in incorporating OVAL information into their tools and services.

OVAL Remediation Forum - A lightly moderated public forum for discussing and developing a standardized remediation language that leverages the OVAL community’s knowledge and experience gained through the development of the OVAL Language. This list is provided to foster community discussion on remediation and facilitate the development of a standardized remediation language.
