They will be replacing the OVAL Board members that nominated them. *Tigran Gevorgyan was nominated by Amol Sarwate (Qualys) *Kurt Seifried was nominated by Mark Cox (Red Hat) *Chris Wood was nominated by Nick Connor (Assuria) *Rosario Gangemi was nominated by Eric Walker (IBM) Based on the Evaluation Phase of the Adding New OVAL Board Members process, here is a quick summary for each prospect. --- Tigran Gevorgyan (Qualys): Tigran is an Engineering Manager for Qualys' SCAP product and has been working with SCAP and OVAL for the past three years. Prior to this, Tigran worked on Qualys' network vulnerability assessment tool as well as Network Associates' vulnerability assessment tool. During the call, Tigran expressed an interest in participating in the Technical Tasks on the OVAL Board. --- Kurt Seifried (Red Hat): Kurt is a member of the Red Hat's Security Response Team and is the lead for cloud product security where he has focused on developer education (CWE/CVSS) and creating better SCAP content. Kurt has also been involved CVE assignments for Red Hat. Kurt is a contributor to the Cloud Security Alliance where he is the Director of IT and manages the Security, Trust & Assurance Registry Support (STARS) signing. Lastly, Kurt has been writing a monthly security column for Linux Magazine Pro since 2008. During the call, Kurt expressed that he would like to primarily focus on the Technical Tasks on the OVAL Board, but, would also like to work on the advocate side of things through writing in his column for Linux Magazine Pro magazine. --- Chris Wood (Assuria): Chris is a Principal Engineer for Assuria's host-based products and has primarily been focusing on the content side of things which will include OVAL. Before this, Chris was an Engineering Manager at Internet Security Systems (ISS) where he was responsible for the development and maintenance of ISS's RealSecure Server Sensor and System Scanner host-based products. Over the past couple of years, Chris has frequently filled in for Nick Connor on the OVAL Board calls and has been involved in many of the recent discussions around the OVAL Board Roles, Responsibilities, and Requirements and the OVAL Board Voting Process. During the call, Chris expressed interest in participating in the Technical Tasks on the OVAL Board. --- Rosario Gangemi (IBM): Rosario is a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM and is a development leader on IBM's Endpoint Manager Security & Compliance product. Prior to this, Rosario has 23 years of experience in the development, support, and management of various technology products including managing the transition of IBM technology to Tivoli, leading the integration of BigFix technology into IBM's Service offering, and supporting and developing IBM's offerings for device configuration management across a variety of platforms including z/OS. Rosario is primarily interested in serving on the OVAL Board to better understand the OVAL Language, contribute feedback from customers, and to sponsor OVAL helping to promote its use in Europe and for other regulations in other countries. During the call, Rosario expressed interest in the Advocate Tasks on the OVAL Board. ---
